You missed the classic:
- Getting all excited because your opponent left his Queen hanging only to realize after the fact that you are completely screwed because you took it.
You missed the classic:
lol i've seen that quite a few times
When opponents tell you to hurry up and play, when it's already a 10 or 15 min game; although beating them into dust as a result of taking the time to think is VERY satisfying indeed. I usually tell them to have patience or resign :)
lol :)
A classic:
Declining a draw offer and then blundering a pieceThat's my personal choice but howsabout..
These are all good points :)
I remember when I could have instigated perpetual check on my opponent, but instead blundered and lost embarrasingly :/
Heres a bad one:
- Fighting a long drawn out game a knight down, hoping for someway to draw somehow, with two minutes left late in the endgame, you realize you cannot only draw, but win! Your opponent will never see it coming! There is no stopping it--- Oops, connection failed........
This might seem a bit naive of me so my apologies, but how would I know if I'm playing against a chess engine? Would I try to communicate with it and receive replies in binary or something? :p
oh that is so wrong
varelse1's might be even worse though... "connection fails" i cant believe i forgot that in the original post... those are so nasty
So is this the worst?
Yup just sounds like another day on chess.com :)
What's worse?
