I think the pawn reflects the expendability and averageness of the middle class perfectly. It is always the working man who gets slaughtered first in any sort of war, be it economical or military.
Then, I dislike the queen, but that's mainly from a mysogenic point of view.
the queen , because in chess bigamy is acceptable , but the monarchy is absolute
