Seriously though, I wont see a gambit or silly sideline for years, then suddenly I'm seeing it every other day. I always wonder which YouTuber brought it up.
I even lost to the Jerome gambit during the time idiots were talking about it and playing it (so it's not like I always do well 
)

I lost to the Stafford exactly once. Then I watched Naroditsky’s video refutation and have won every time since. I’m pretty sure it loses by force if you know how to play against it.
As an aside, it seems to me that people who like the Stafford also are the type who like practical jokes and laughing at “noobs.” It’s not a real opening. They play for the same tricks every time and it’s tiresome. I’m so over it.
