haha... yer drunk!
where are the girls at?
You must have not played chess for too long, the male to female ratio in chess is 10: 1 if not 20:1.

I mentioned to a non chess player that my local league was something like 5%...So would go along with the 1 in 20 estimate.
An interesting question would be : "What is the most male dominated past time (hate that expression), more so than chess, where it would be even more desparate to try and engage witht the fairer sex ?"
Suggestions: Stamp collecting, DIY etc etc ?

I've been there too! There must be something special about this game.

The chess club I founded in high school was deviant in the fact that it had about 6 girls and 15 guys. It might have to do with the fact that they were nerdy asian girls haha

ceramics!
I still remember that my sister and my mom went to do a ceramic painting class. Naturally, not wanting to be left out I was interested...
and nicely told that ceramics was for girls.
so perhaps if WE go over to ceramics.com and paint some boring teacups; they can come over here (and yuck) play a game of chess- right?
i want to play against the girls. If the chess is boring atleast the conversation will be interesting!
