ya- where do they get their tactics stuff - that must have taken a
time to makeWhere does chess.com get their daily puzzles??

I figured they had a sorting algorithm for GM games and picked out positions where someone went from say, +1.01 to -3.00 or some critical shift like that, and then humans checked over them to see if they were useful.
Totally guessing though. Many of the positions do come from real games. A few of them are memorizable opening or endgame traps. And some are clearly artificial, but not many.

I think you nailed it... at least this is what I assume too anyway.

They pay GM's 2$ an hour to come up with them. Living the chess dream!
Are you sure? Or are you just guessing
They have so many, and I'm wondering who does them and how they've kept up with it for all these years
