I think after the second stroke, your desire to be "accessible" fades fast.
Well, he should be, or at least shoved inside a chess museum.

"Shoved." Nice.
Spassky gave a lecture at the Mechanic's Library about five years ago... He played beautiful chess...
Spassky is a fine sportsman and a gentle man! Though I adore Bobby Fischer and have great respect for him, my heart goes out to Boris Spassky!
Tell you all an interesting story. I got a chance to meet him by accident on the russian internet in the very beginning of the internet. Back then there were pnly 4 chess sites that I found . 2 of them appeared empty and disfunctinal most of the time. So I had an idea the russians are really into chess maybe they have something over there.. netscape browser had links for other countrys. So I worked my way over and I popped up in the middle of russian nternet. I could not find anywhere to play chess. I found somethings about chess articals.then it happened I got intercepted by spassky. He asked what I was doing there and he took me to a board and sat down and talked an played a casual game for hours. Turns out he was working and kept leaving and comming back. . I could see he moved like a gm but he wouldn't tell me his name. All he said was he was ranked 59th in the world. When I left I looked it up there it was spassky was the name 59th in standings. I can tell you this the man really loves chess is a perfect gentleman. Nice as he is he did not deserve all the grief Fischer gave him during world title match. Last I know I heard he had a kidney problem. Wherever you are boris i wish you. Well.
Why we never hear of Boris Spassky anymore? The one whom Fischer himself beat twice??
