Where's the thinking?

I know this title sounds stupid, because thinking in chess is paramount but for some reason I can't get myself to think for long in a chess position.

At some point in my learning chess career, I started to feel like I am a robot. I feel like I just bust developing moves, control the center without thinking ,and castle like in every game. In the middlegame Improving my pieces or setting up an attack doesn't seem to be an issue to me.In the endgame, it feels harder but it doesn't force to think too much.

I want to know what to think of in chess for so long. I mean, if the STANDARD tournament time control is 1hr 30 each with an EXTRA hour at move 41, I want to get even deeper into chess. I want to know what is it I can think of that can take me so much time. I'm not sure what caused this issue in the first place, but it most probably was because I started my chess career playing lots of rapid and blitz games.

So I want to know where can I start to move on. I know again the title sounds stupid and ignorant but I just want to know how time is spent in chess.

It's not that I make moves instantly but I feel like that any time control above blitz is too much for me unless some big attack is conducted where you have a lot options.

Try to find tactics, where you can win a pawn or even a piece, try to go on checkmate and see the lines which could happen, lines in genera;, if i do this, what could the opponent do and could I get a bad position or a better one..?
