Rook and Knight or Bishop and knight vs king?

Rook and Knight. Anyone should be able to mate with just rook and king vs king. Mating with bishop and knight vs king is forceable but most people would have problems.

rook = 5   knight = 3    bishop = 3 therefore : rook + knight = 8   and  bishop + knight = 6  ......now which number is greater/better ?  simple math works here Smile

 Who sayed that 8 is better then 6 in math? 6 afraid only of 7 (because 7 ate (8) 9 if you don't familiaer with this joke)...

 

And yes, rook + knight absolutly even only rook is better when there are no more pieces...
