In the days of the Soviet Union, everything originated in the USSR ... except bad things.  The US can also lay claim to being the home of ... well, damn near everything.  China is now emerging as a claimant to any human accomplishment -- somewhere in the distant past.  The EU doesn't claim ownership of much, but it does claim the right to regulate every nuance of everything.

The Aussies don't care.  Africa doesn't play.  The Italians are too busy cooking -- thank you, Italy.  Scandinavia is involved in its social experiment.  And, if it had any inhabitants, Antarctica would have a good claim.

As for me, I say its the Scots.  If it's nae Scottish, it's crap!
