Idc if you say it doesn’t have to be Magnus. It’s obviously Magnus Carlsen
R. Praggnanandhaa. He's beaten Carlsen and is a KID.
Just because you have beaten Magnus doesn't mean you're better than Magnus, and he isn't really a kid anymore, also Magnus has beaten Pragg on multiple occasions.

However, not many people can brag.
I think that although there are players that could beat him, Magnus has consistently proven himself to be the most creative and yet precise GM’s, also his personality is quite intriguing. He is also highly versatile across different time controls. There are tons of great chess players on their way, but Magnus remains to be the best GM of modern days.
