I enjoy team matches and tournaments more than random challenges. The first group I joined, Chess History, attracted me for its forums, which kept me coming back to this site while I was mostly playing elsewhere. Other groups, especially Chessaholics Anon--a lively, friendly group--and one representing my region offer matches against other teams. My wins (or losses) are for the group as well as for myself. It makes this site something more than an anonymous screen for disembodied games.
