There are so many popular openings but which one do you prefer and why? Please post your answers in the comments

I like the ruy Lopez, Simply because it's easy to learn (atleast for me, There are TONS of variations with the Ruy Lope, but don't get overwhelmed, You don't need to know all of them to enjoy the opening.), I like the central push that happens with the d pawn, It gains control in the centre, And it's just overall good atleast for me.

For black, I like to play the KID or Caro kann (The latter is a Very new addition). The KID prepares for a nice Kingside push, and Caro kann is a nice and easy opening to learn without mostly any complexity.

I prefer 1. e4 with white, because it's a very strong move. Against the Sicilian, I play the Grand Prix attack. Against 1. ….e5, I play the Scotch or the Italian Opening. Against the Caro-Kann, I play 1. e4 c6 2. d4 d5 3. Nc3 (forgot how it's called). Against the French, I play the same. Against the Pirc, I play the Austrian Attack. With Black, I play the Sicilian against 1. e4, and I play the Slav Defense against 1. d4.
