Which plan to go for in the Sicilian Taimanov?

In the Taimanov Sicilian (1. e4 c5 2. Nf3 e6 3. d4 cxd4 Nxd4 Nc6), it seems that there are two important plans for Black: organizing a ...d5 pawn break at some point, and playing for a queenside minority attack.
How would you prioritize these plans (i.e if you could only do one at expense of the other, which one would you do)?
