Which style of pieces are better on the DGT Electronic Board - Timeless or FIDE?

Hey guys I was planning to buy a DGT board but I got confused about the style of pieces to choose. I am now heavily double-minded and I don't know which style to choose - Timeless pieces or FIDE pieces or if any other if possible. Can you peeps help me out on this one? I will just add I am even confused about the board - Rosewood or Walnut?

Timeless:-

FIDE:-

Rosewood:-

Walnut:-

Walnut is kind of lighter than Rosewood and Rosewood is more reddish than Walnut.

Thanks in Advance, looking forward to a Practical Response!

I purchased the cheaper DGT smartboard. Of the pieces offered by DGT, I prefer the FIDE (which many people hate... I guess it's a matter of personal taste) or the Ebony. The Timeless are the most common but I prefer pieces with wider bases.

In the end, I purchased DGT-enabled pieces from House of Staunton... the Reykjavik chess pieces in Indian Rosewood.

rosewood with timeless is my preference. I have a friend with all the pieces and boards. the walnut board too light. rosewood way better, smart board is also great.

second choice i like the smart board with plastic or timeless

i hate the fide pieces

I have two thoughts for pieces, first impression (FI) and play.

Timeless: FI? bigger than i thought, pawns a bit stout for liking, and a little lighter than I think I like. Play? i comment to myself how much I like it every time. All imrpressions are forgotten. Always the best and go well with the board. cant bite the bullet to buy because so common but if i get anythign else i'll wish i had these. truly enjoy them the most. 8.5/10

Plastic: FI? knights are smiling, looks like playmobile toy. Play? remarkably good, impressions forgotten quickly. Heavy and good feel, black and white looks good on any board, still cant bite the bullet to buy them cause timeless exists and they're just...plastic. 8/10

the royal: FI? better in person. Play? Very good. Just doesn't quite do it for me. knight a bit weird, and king and queen a bit slender. 8/10

the classic: FI? perfect. a wooden version of the plastic pretty much. Play? prefer pawns to timeless, but timeless knight is better to grab. not as perfect as they look. 8/10

FIDE: FI? too tall. kinda ugly, knight "hook" is odd. Play? great and hate every second. You do start to like it a little and see why it was designed the way it was, to be easily identifiable and easy to grab but I just can't. 7.5/10
