Black. Not sure why, its just always been like that and its a comfort zone now.

I play both pretty well(not to brag). They are both "equal but not equal" as they can expect a draw with perfect mutual play, but they are completely different in the opening(and maybe that difference can persist in the midgame or endgame).

I like black.Its my comfort zone,even if playing first   gives white a slight advantage.Chess is somewhat a racial game.

It's weird with me. White statistically wins more often than black, but it all comes down to the openings. White has the power of choosing the frame in which the game will be played by choosing the attack, which will be the foundation for the middle game and engame (pawn structures, piece location etc.), and being black means that you have the responsibility of picking what you believe is the most just defense for the attack. If I feel like controlling the game, I like white but if I don't want to make much of a decision (should I use the sicilian attack, queen's gambit, e4? etc.) I will be black.
