White wins with best play

It has always been rumored that chess is a draw when both sides play perfectly. I have to disagree.

I pitted the Komodo chess engine against itself. It turns out when both sides play perfectly, white wins. 

If Komodo plays perfectly, maybe I should buy one..

There's no Chess engine which plays perfectly. When we talk about "best play", it's not perfect play. It's the best we can find with access to the engine. When the Chess.com review offers "best moves" they're the best the engine found but there's no guarantee that they actually are the best theoretical moves.

At 5 days per move it is a draw.

You expect me to believe the scotch gambit is "best play" for both sides? Pocket engine analysis thinks black has gone wrong at multiple junctures in this game.

Best play wins, regardless of color, if it´s good enough. That´s why it´s a game.
