The current leader in the "Most games count", GregorySteven, is up to 28,410 live games(12923 W/ 13177 L / 2311 D) and a few hundred in the other categories.
He has slowed down now and is only playing 164 games at this time.

Who has time for this level of commitment? I'd love to be able to do that, but I can barely manage to keep up on a dozen or so daily games at any one time... someone with way more disposable time than me (envious!!)
This is all very old info. There are people out there with more than 100,000 games.

I think I'm on about 35,000 (admittedly 33k is bullet) but would easily be more than double that when I consider all the games played on the other main sites as well. Certainly time that could probably have been more wisely spent!

Bit disheartening to see that the top human player on the list has about 115,000 games but only has a 1463 rating. I know most players don't play blitz to improve but I feel like if you analyze some of your games, learn some patterns, plug holes in your opening repertoire, etc you should be better than that. Maybe these players aren't the type to learn from their mistakes

I just played him and came here curious to see if anyone else had more games after I saw his count. Half a million games... wow! Solid player for the rating, but same opening ideas each game, often blundered mate by focusing too much on one idea. Very determined!
I saw the first comment and I went: "that must make me nr 2 in the world with 24000 games. And then I read down the list: more people played more games, and I am thinking: okay never mind. Haha. Haha.
