75% of the time, huh? First, that wasn’t the question. Second, the new SF is 150 elo higher than the last one. I’m not sure where you got that number—seems random and not based on any data. Third, if he’s playing to actually, you know, win, he gets stomped.
iforgotmyusename

the way to win is to completely lock the position and premove to play for the flag

Anyone, well just about anyone with a little bit of experience, can beat Stockfish at level 1. Who can beat it at level 10 is an entirely different matter. (Certainly not me.)  happy.png

Alpha zero?

As far as I understand, even the best player in the world can't roll with Stockfish unless given some significant odds. Didn't Nakamura get beat by Stockfish with odds multiple times?

if you beat stockfish, then that means you are using a computer engine

even if you cheat it's hard to beat stockfish because most games will end up as draw

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA! NO

On the hardest difficulty of Stockfish, most players do not even try. Chess computers have come along a ways since the 1990s - the best in the world usually treat chess engines as great training tools instead of opponents. With that said though, some elite players have successfully won against Stockfish, but that takes a myriad of attempts and is more for the accomplishment than anything learning-based. I forgot the username, but someone on chess.com (rated around 2500 I think) beat the hardest level of Stockfish, but it took months and over 1000 games to do it I think! I also know that GM Hikaru Nakamura has also won against Stockfish before too.

Engines are extremely powerful tools, but to win, you must realize the computer strengths and limitations. A strength is obviously calculation ability and tactics, but under long time controls, a GM is often times better in positional concepts due to chess engines suffering from the "horizon effect."

Any links to the games?

Magnus beat stockfish in 3 min cause the cheater ran out of time. GM Alex Lenderman beat stockfish (rated 3200) in piece odds.

Yeah but if he plays to draw he can draw

Ima see if I can draw sf but playing to draw without using fortresses

Be sure to adjust the contempt properly, ie, put it at 100.

I have beaten Stockfish before [Not a lie].

If you're counting 10 second games, of course!
