It would be so cool if Kasparov were on chess.com. If it ever came out, I'm sure he'd have to delete his account, because within 10 minutes of it being confirmed on the threads I think he'd have half of the site challenging him just so we could chat with him alone.

At what point did he (or she) claim the spotlight? While this may be what happens to celebrities in practice, I'd argue that they at no point lost their right to privacy, but have instead had their rights to privacy violated -- eggregiously in some cases. On chess.com where anonymity is commonplace, people have some insulation from these kinds of intrusions. I'd suggest we respect that.

Hey I have no reason not to think that it's Kasparov. I don't think he was just give up from the chess world just for politics in Russia. It would be coincidence to be on this site, but I'm sure he's playing some type of internet chess now.
I agree that I think it is a GM.
why would anybody want to give up chess for Russian Politics and I think it is a GM also

It might be Rafa Nadal - he's excellent en passant and he never misses the point.
Necro thread, but funny to see that even in 2007, people were talking about Carlsen like he was the world champion (he wasn't back then and was not even top 10 I think). And neither was Naka.
Raffael Chess is a famous Youtuber from Brazil. He plays things like the Grob to see how far he can go with such dubious openings.
