I recall a staff member saying that it is very difficult to prove cheating in vote chess, but that members who do it usually cheat in their other games which is how they get caught. That being said, I assume if they did find cheating in a vote chess game then it would be the player(s) responsible for the suspicious moves who are the culprits, and not the team leader
Who is responsible in vote chess?

Suppose op is the team captain or leader, then the op must start firing those human player and form a core of the team.

So, chess.com dont do cheat detection in vote chess?
If a player only cheat in vote chess, he will never be caught. If he always vote unusally strong moves, the other team members and team leader may suspect him. If they dont report him, will they be responsible.?

My guess would be that they do have some form of cheating detection for vote chess, especially if it's been reported, but it would be so difficult to prove except for the most blatant cases that bans for vote chess cheating would be rare. Maybe a response from a staff member or moderator would be enlightening as I am only making assumptions here.

Vote chess is unrated right? So catching cheaters there is far from a priority.
I always assumed it was something beginners played to pick up tips from players rated around 1200... because yeah, obviously cheating would be easy, so why would anyone take those games seriously?
But maybe they do. Maybe that's just my imagined idea of what vote chess is.
I think the general rule of cheating on chess.com is whether or not there's a leader board/ some way of tracking progress. Doesn't necessarily have to be a rating. AFAIK, in features with no leader board or ratings like the vision trainer, unrated chess, solo chess etc. there is no penalty for cheating, but in vote chess, which IIRC uses vote chess points and has a whole leader board set up comparing clubs it is still very much against the rules to cheat. But, yeah obviously it is far from their top priority as it would be very rare and difficult to prove compared to cheating in live or daily chess

I don't believe that the Fair Play team reviews Vote Chess games - there are multiple players involved. @Daws74 used to run a Vote Chess league but stopped when it became evident that most of the top teams were being engine assisted, however unknowingly by their admins

So, if I understand correctly, they don't auto-review vote chess games for cheating like they do with other game formats. But what about an obvious case which was reported to staff by members of the vote chess team? Such as a 1000 rated player consistently suggesting engine moves and failing to explain the reasoning why. Is this sufficient to get an account closed, or is there absolutely no cheat detection for vote chess?

inb4 some 1000 rated 10 year old with a pokemon avatar explains:
"Accusing me of cheating is not fair, I sometimes beat masters my rating is just low. I suggested Bb5 was good because sometimes bishops move sideways like that and I saw it in a game from world champion Hikaru on youtube"
Lol. Perfectly sums up the typical user of these forums.

I don't believe they do, no.

Unfortunately, I don't think that would be strong enough evidence to take a Fair Play action, which is usually based on what a player has actually done in a game: that's other people saying what another player has recommended as a move, not what moves they've actually played. You'd need to log a ticket to get confirmation from the Support team, but I also think that it would be very unusual for someone to make such recommendations in a Vote Chess game without using them in their personal games.
In case a game of vote chess is cheat detected, who is responsible?
1. The player(s) whose' moves are suspicious of cheating?
2. The whole team
3. Team Leader
Disclaimer, it is not about cheating discussion, it is about who is the culpit in vote chess?
