Was just wondering how much money these guys make and somehow i came up with this list. 1. Anand 2.kasparov 3. The rest can some1 give us the real list?

I thought I read somewhere that Karpov is very wealthy?

I was thinking the exact same thing. Start with a list of the richest people and find out who can play chess.

If you love chess, go for it, you'll either be rich in money or rich in love or both.  If you're going to try to master something as daunting as chess for the money alone you're probably kidding yourself.  If an instense burning passion to play for the sake of playing isn't part of your ethos, or you're not just exceptionally gifted at the game, and you're trying to be people who are exceptionally gifted and/or passionate, you're at a distinct disadvantage.
