i think you are right and iagree with you. Kasparov was a very good chess player and his calculations too.
Who is your favorite player?

Susan. I met her at the local pub last night. We played a game at the pub and played some more back at my place.

Capablanca's play is art that hides art. The moves all look easy to find but are based around deep strategic understanding. Along with his strategy and positional understanding, he was a strong calculator, which allowed him to attack relentlessly when the position called for it and defend tenaciously when the position called for it. According to Botvinnik, Capablanca could come up with a plan for any positon. Finally, his schematic thinking in the endgame make him my favorite chess player.

Watching the post-game analysis during the FIDE World Cup is moving Peter Svidler up on my list of favourite players.

Who is your favorite chess player? My one is Kasparov, because he was phenomenal at making calculations and at sacrificing material the correct time.
Hard to choose these are my favourites............
Wilhelm Steinitz, Paul Morphy, Paul Keres, Emmanuel Lasker, Bobby Fischer, Alexander Alekhine, Judit Polgar, Mikhail Tal, Jose Capablanca and Adolph Anderssen.
