Played the moves from the Schvice screenshot out on the board as best I could. Had to fudge some moves that didn’t make sense (some of the captures are impossible but I think in those cases only one piece was capable of capturing the piece taken). The game is pretty even until those last moves in New Orleans. B4 by the band is a huge blunder, missing the audience’s hanging knight and doing nothing about the huge attack that’s looming on the king side. Then the audience blows the whole game by diverting their focus from the kingside and grabbing a pawn on the queenside and forgetting that knight’s move backwards. I assume the rest of the game consisted of the band taking the queen and then mopping up the rest over the next few weeks. From the sounds of Trey’s taunts from the stage around that time the audience position was pretty hopeless.

If anyone has any more info about those games in ‘95 I’d love to have it!

I can't believe I never heard about the Woodstock board! (I was at a chess tournament ending in Boston as Woodstock was about to happen, but didn't go -- my dad got me outta there :-))
