Since Pawn Sacrifice was such a big hit among a select group of individuals, and comic book movies are over the top popular. I have been tasked to do field research casting for the upcoming movie, "Morphy: The Pride and Sorrow of Chess".  I have seen pictures of Paul Morphy, but for some reason the photos are not of the highest quality. Any suggestions on casting the main character for this feature film? Also, if there are any obscure stories our research team may not have uncovered? - Thanks for the help!

Tobey McGuire was Fischer, so I think Jeff Goldblum could be a good choice for this one.

agree.  g_o_p, our own chess commie, should star in this flick rather than getting some clueless actor who has no idea about chess.

I am shocked to the point of outrage by the pretty boy images here! Sylvester Stallone is the obvious choice

Years ago, someone suggested Johnny Depp. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

Too bad he is in his 70s, because a young Christopher Walken would have been perfect... excpet for his height.  Maybe Michael Cera?
