Who was the most exciting chess player?

Immanuel Lasker because he could find a draw in the most seemingly hopeless positions. Consider the following:
Lasker drew that position! Two minors are normally worth more than the rook but white has two extra pawns and d-file domination with his rooks. Black's only four pawns are the rook and knight pawns adding to black's misery. Black having one rook doesn't usually want to trade it.

While I appreciate the ability of players to pull spectacular draws, I am looking for players that were strong winners, and put you on the edge of your seat in anticipation of some combination, sacrifice or attack they would display beautifully.
That being said, shouldn't the fact that Lasker found himself in a "hopeless" position automatically disqualify him from the top list?
TITLE EDIT:
Who were the most exciting chess players?
I want to know not who was the best thanks to their ability to draw or grind out wins, but who had the most spectacular, awe-inspiring play?
