...Wholesale Chess Collector Series vs. HOS Collector Series

I am aware of that, but I really like the design of the Collector pieces. It is simply perfect in my opinion. Since I couldn't afford to buy the wooden version of the set, as it is very expensive, this plastic chess set was my only alternative. It just turned out to be a bad one, unfortunately.

I don't know anything about the actual quality of the pieces, but the ones with that name from Wholesale Chess closely resemble the original Staunton pieces. House of Staunton has their Marshall Library set that is somewhat like that, but it is only available in the 2.875" King size.

I have sent a few photos via email, but apparently wholesalechess is now ignoring my emails, so I guess I wont be getting replacement pieces from them any time soon.  I really dont like talking badly about ohters, but based on my personal experience, I cant reccommend doing buisness with them to anyone. This is not how cusotmers should be treated.

Wholesalechess is a US based company, not EU. Besides, if I return the order I am at financial loss anyway because I had to pay both customs and shipping fee.

Then you are at a loss if do not want to pay for shipping ?

WARRANTY COVERAGE

If an item is covered under a manufacturer's warranty and needs to be repaired or replaced after 30 days, simply ship the item back to us and we will act as your agent with the manufacture to get your item repaired or replaced. The manufacture is solely responsible for determining if your item qualifies for warranty coverage. You are responsible for the shipping charges to get the item back to Wholesale Chess. We strongly suggest you use an insured, traceable shipping method. Wholesale Chess will not be responsible for lost or damaged items. Once the item has been repaired or replaced by the manufacturer, Wholesale Chess will ship the item back to you.

This is what there say , did not work out cheap then  ? in the end you get what you pay for !

Did you read what you just posted!? I qoute: "You are responsible for the shipping charges to get the item back to Wholesale Chess". I have no intention to pay more money. Besides, they are ignoring my emails so there is no way for me to get in contact with them in the first place. I am stuck with the setI got, but I've learned a lesson. I'm done with it.

Here is what I recently bought for myself:

https://www.regencychess.ca/chess-pieces/plastic-chess-pieces/conqueror-chess-set-3.875-king

They arrived today, in excellent condition, and I thought they were of very good quality. There is a mold line, but I couldn't see it initially, I only noticed it by feel.
