The game started no one moved. I tried to abort as I had to go. I was not given the option to abort.as time was running for a aborting the game. I Lost to abandonment, and lost eight points. I never seen this happen before. Is this just a glitch or something new? Please respond I'm very curious and I don't think this is fair. A friend of chess.

My guess is that you had a weak connection and lost your connection just before the first move was played. It shows up in your games list with your opponent having moved and you didn't respond.

So, since you had to go and would have had to leave the game regardless of it's state you would have lost anyway, right?
