Why are our chess programms worshiped?

Why? They won't stand a chance in 50 years time. Ergo, we don't know the best move yet. With our and AI evolution , does it not stand to reason that we are far away from optimum strategy? Or am I just hoping that all these naysayers about chess being finished in 50 years time are wrong?

i hope chess isn't solved and although it's impossible to predict the future it'll take more than 50 years to solve chess. if chess was as popular as football then it may be solved in 50 years time because a lot of people would be involved in such a project however that's not the case.
