Why China has gotten really good in chess lately

I been playing this game for a long time, ever since I went to prison in 80s and had nothing better to do. what you are seeing right now, with players like ding liren, 2nd strongest player in the world, best chance to beat carlsen in a match) and wei yi, youngest 2700 in history by a whole year, and hou yifan, woman gm so strong she banned herself from playing in women tournaments because she didn't want everyone else to lose so badly. 

and then u have all these other chinese super gms too.

these new players are all the result of a chinese eugenics program to breed strong "athletes" in physical and intellectal sports. for example in mma a chinese woman won the ufc championship.

the chinese specifically bred humans so they could get the genes that would best make strong chess players. incredibly messed up, but that is fact. they want to show superiority over russia and us in chess. the chinese are very nationalist, eevn though they are communist, they will do anything to make their country stronger, including eugenics and forced sterilization. 

notice how there are almost no old chinese gms who used to be dominant. only pretty young ones. 

if china is developing superhumans through eugenics for things like war, like they are doing for chess, then we gone have a serious problem in the next few decades.. jus my thoughts

The Chinese are good at chess because chess is the new secret communication medium using by the dissidents in China. Since there are 1B Chinese and 80% dissidents, that's 800 million chess players, so you are bound to have a few who's got some decent chess talent.

I'm guessing that under Mao, chess was seen as a decadent Western bourgeois time-waster that did nothing to increase steel output or challenge American hegemony in the western Pacific. Since then, several decades of allowing people to waste time with chess has allowed the best of the bunch to make an impression.

The Chinese population makes up nearly a quarter of the global population - 1.4 billion out of 7.3 billion. If anything,  they are under-represented at the top levels of chess.

china is not communist hasn't been for yonks , same as Russia they now embrace state run capitalism , and that is a gazillion miles from communism ,

Sure, but I think we're just talking about regular chess here. Of course they are going to be over-represented in Chinese chess, because they're the only ones who play it.

If anything, I think we should suspect Armenia of having a eugenics program. Pop. <3,000,000 yet super GM Levon Aronian and women's speed chess champ Elena Danielian. Plus famous players from history who I can't remember right now.

Any nation that does not use the Latin alphabet are world class at chess if they try and get funded. 

Russians, Jews, Chinese, Indians

The Latin alphabet has kept more people from achieving GM than the amount of people not speaking German in Brazil.

It takes on average 4700 hours of study less for a Jew to become a GM than say and Englishman.

Chinese learn go (known as baduk in Korea and weiqi in China) at an early age. You know who else learned go? Emanuel Lasker, universally recognized as the greatest chess player of all time! There argument settled.

Played Chinese chess in high school in the 70's with a Chinese friend. Totally different game and loved it. No comment about good/better/best comment.
