If someone wins it's the Russian's fault. If someone loses it's the Russian's fault. Makes sense.
Not to forget if it’s a draw...

Only works if both players are Russians, though.
All we can know for sure is what he said. Could there be other reasons behind the scenes? Sure. But that's always the case with most anything.
Regarding these idiotic conspiracy theories, I can only repeat my original comment.
This looks like a job for Tinfoil Hat Cat.
Earlier in the morning, the phone rang but no one was on the line. Then there was a knock at the door but again, no one was there. At the tournament while at the table he saw two unidentifiable men sitting precariously close to the exits. What else needs to be said?
these conspiracies are so dumb, are y'all even gonna realize that wang hao was already losing in that position????
It was good enough for a draw though.
Wang Hao isn't even the best Chinese player, how did he even qualify for the Candidates. Anyway he doesn't thave much international experience
Yeah Ding and Wei are better.
plus he resigned cause nepo had an overwhelming endgame.
Anyways after round 12:
# | Fed | Name | Rtg | Perf | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 | Pts |

All looks good for the top 3. The fan favorite Fabi wont get any chances to win with 2 rounds left. I think nepo will win imo, he is good and has a lead, plus giri can't play him since they are out of rotation. but MVL and GIRI could pounce up a bit.
I thought OP was joking at first but I see people actually believe the collision theories.
Wang Hao has had a bad tournament, he's definitely not coming top 3 or 4 so why should he care who wins the competition? Besides that there was the aspect of time. Nepo had about 50 minutes to Hao's 5 minutes so any drawing chances he had in his already very bad position were cancelled out by the fact he was so low on time compared to Nepo.
I admit it pissed me off that Wang lost to Nepo since I was supporting Anish but honestly these collusion theories are baseless.
Yep. But... I don't see Carlsen losing to any of those guys in a WC. Nepo is the only one with a chance.
Caruana would have a good chance, and maybe Giri in a few years.
Nepo hasn't even gotten to 2800 once.
Rating doesn't matter. What matters if you have fun or not.
Americans making bad statements about Russians.
Well, what other statements do you expect us to make about them after they attempted to interfere with our previous election with the goal of denigrate one of the candidates?
I have several questions.
Do you know any reason to influence US election? Don't you think it was made up to turn people against other candidate? Do you trust your politicians?
There are several reasons other countries would want to influence the US Elections. The following article covers most of them: https://news.illinois.edu/view/6367/807224
My answer to your second question is a resounding NO!
If someone wins it's the Russian's fault. If someone loses it's the Russian's fault. Makes sense.
