Connor, I thought you turned tracking off?
Why do chess players hide behind avatars and false profiles?

I often wonder why players on this site use avatars and false profiles. It's easy to tell by the way they talk, that in some profiles they are actually males, pretending to be glamorous females. Why all the deception, and what actually is the point of this behaviour?
I don't mind it much. It's all in good fun - if we decide to see it that way.
It's just theatre entertainment --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bc80tFJpTuo

I like his avatar. So what if It's a guy posing as a woman? Why I should anyone give a fuck. Maybe he likes women? Can't knock a guy for liking women.........?
I don't bother about psychos like him, not to mention their likes/dislikes or what avatar they use. Having said that, I find it very annoying when he opens a new account almost every few days and starts posting his games in game chats and chess.com forums.
