And I screwed up the cut and paste for your blitz, but it's 296 to 300.
Maybe lately he's been getting black far more often, implying he had white a lot in the past? The stats should theoretically even out over time.

They should not quite even out...because of the 2 "abandons" allowed in live chess (which ought to be dropped, IMO), players that don't habitually exploit this tactic should end up playing white slightly under 50% of the time, and those who do use this exploit to full effect daily should play significantly more often as white.
