Why do losers get smart after they lose?

I sort of can understand why winners get smart to you in chat after they win, but can't for the life of me work out why people (losers) that get get completely outplayed and even checkmated feel like they can get smart. When I come across these low lifes I just ram it down their throat how much of a loser they are.

That's exactly what they want from you. They want to upset you.

Any time you feel you need to ram something down somebody's throat, you've lost your cool.

I think that the proper way to respond is to calmly and politely offer them tips on improving their play.

I calmly and cooly try to offer them tips about improving their play...such as,the location of the resign button and how to use it.

I block anyone who gets abusive after a game. People like that are pretty rare in my experience.  When they tell me how stupid I am after I beat them, I say "How could a stupid person beat you so easily?" And if they say  I was just lucky, I just say something like "Better luck next time" or, "If you believe in luck, maybe dice is your game, not chess". And if they want a rematch, if I take it I usually beat them because they're not as good as they think they are, or if I don't want to play them, I might say "No thanks. I'm looking for stronger challenges from more mature players"

It is best not to respond to their anger and just move on.
