Okay, so I was wondering, why do people just abort games for no reason? They're on the line, ready to play, who cares WHO you play? I mean, as long as you win... I mean, I came up with some possible answers, not sure if they're accurate...
There's afraid to play
Yeah, they should learn to play who they're paired up with. Who doesn't like a challenge every now and then? If you lose, big deal, so they're higher rated then you. If you win, da-da! It's a big victory!
They want to be a certain side
I guess, someone might abort a game because they want to play white, and go first. Or black.
They want to play a certain person
That's one reason, they might be trying to pair up with a friend/family member.
None of these reasons are accurate 100 percent of the time. And none of them make sense. I don't care who I play, just play and have fun. If you can't accept, who your appoment is, what their rating is, or that you have to be a certain side, it doesn't matter. If you worry about that, then don't play in tournaments. It really bugs me, when I try to get in a good games of chess, and then people just abort, for no reason. It's stupid.
