Why do people on chess.com ABSOULTELY HATE draws?

Whenever I offer a draw in dead-drawn endgames, or after a massive piece trade in the opening, my opponent rejects. Why is this? Do Chess.com players absolutely hate and want to kill one another? I understand that this is online chess, and faster time controls, but even considering that, the draw offer acceptance rate is abnormally low.

Unless you are playing for more than fun then, for me, I often prefer to see the whole game through as like the drills you can learn end games and how to work with minimal pieces.

yeah people don't accept draws cuz they wanna win (either by flagging or you blundering)

Kowarenai

yep

I regularly win dead drawn positions by flagging my opponent. That's why I'll usually reject.

I like to draw people drawing and put my drawing in a drawer.

technical_knockout

that was really drawn out.

I don't like draws either because I "usually" don't gain points.

My guess is that given their opponent can't spell 'absolutely' they assume that they will err at chess also.

He was just putting his soul into it
