why do people quit as soon as they lose their queen ?
At lower levels where chess errors are rife, there may be some point in fighting on after losing the Queen. You never know - your now over-confident opponent might go on to blunder his or her own Queen. But generally speaking, if you lose your Queen with little or no compensation, you are toast.
You play on and waste your and your opponent’s time for nothing. If you stalemate, good for you… your opponent’s day is ruined and you will not be happy wirh a draw when you know you should’ve lost. It’s just very disrespectful to think, your opponent can’t win. And the fact that you don’t accept that you lost is very unprofessional (childish).

Yes, but even if you get 0 compensation, its not over. If i manage to lose a knight to a 1700 and come back from it, so can you

Go and lose your queen in your next 200 games and then come back and tell us how much you won, drew and lost.

I asked you to sacrafise your Queen. Not your Knight.

No, 200 games without resigning will take much to long, sorry. But if you are down a queen against a 2000 or against a 500, who cares? You don’t want to resign. You can’t prove that it‘s worth.

It absolutely is worth it, id say 1500 i would resign once its like R vs R+Q+P but if my king is safe, theres no mates, and i still have enough pieces to launch an attack of my own, Im not gonna resign. if im facing U1000 and i have enough time, i think i can win 25% of the games still
I understand it why people don’t resign and it’s okay to a certain degree but a whole queen is too much. Would you play on even if it’s unrated?
Give us an example, that isn't bullet chess, of you defeating a 1500 after losing a queen for nothing. It shouldn't be necessary to add that qualifier.
Here you go. This is why I never, ever resign online. I hung a queen for nothing off as U1500 against a 1620 and gained 3 ELO because he stalemated me by trying to be fancy instead of just... taking the free win.
People need to stop resigning, AMAZING job!
