I am not understanding if those people have more or the other..... and a premium account might be something I would dance..   IF YOU'RE LESS THAN A THOUSAND THEN TELL WHY

Maybe spending so much for a year is beyond what people are willing or able to pay. It is a pass time, not a necessity. For me the only function I like that is worth paying for is the unlimited Game Analysis. But I can get that for free on another site. It is just the presentation that differs and the exporting the PGN. If I want to get better I will stop playing when tired, distracted, stressed and start playing longer time controls whilst blunder checking on every move. But I am not that disciplined, so lower Elo it remains.

I don't understand your point.

You have have had a diamond membership for several weeks.

Have you taken lessons? Tried the Insights? Done drills?

Are you watching the videos before you try to solve the challenges? The videos try to explain the concepts you need to solve the challenges.

I love the game review feature. It quickly points out all my blunders then gives me a detailed description of why they are blunders. I sometimes need a thorough explanation, especially before my first coffee in the morning! 🤪

Maybe you should try that after your first coffee. You might notice that those "explanations" are complete nonsense half of the time.

It never fails to miss a major blunder though. I use it as more of a blunder-check than deep analysis. I like it so i'm happy to pay for it. Besides, Diamond membership probably costs less than a 1hr session with a Grandmaster. Hopefully in years to come it will go much deeper much faster (as the actress said to the bishop! 😁)

The blunders are spotted by the engine, and the explanations (that are nonsense half of the time) are added by the Game review software. The plot twist is that the first part is free and unlimited. You only pay for the nonsense part.

because some some of us are too young to afford it??

Unlimited (as in the amount of times you can use it) Game Review isn't free. You need at least the Platinum membership. Besides, I like it and you can't stop me liking it! 🤣

If you like it, fine.

What I said is still true. You don't need game review for what's good in it. All you need is Analysis, which is unlimited and free. Always was.

Not everyone wants to seriously improve at chess. A large majority of players simply enjoy playing it.
