Why do you play on chess.com?

i play here becouse i LOVE playing chess, but no one in my surounding doesn't. And I am very competitive person, i like to prove myself all the time

I play here because there is so many bad players.

chess is my passion.. & this is undoubtedly the best site for playing online chess..

its simply the best and most importantly FREE chess website on the internet! Most of the other (I know not all) want money upfront after a quick cooling period, which for my part was when i left websites. After a while here i loved it so much i paid for it, and most importantly it was because i wanted to and not because some site wanted my money(which im sure chess.com gratefully accepted).

Eric and the staff has made this the best place to improve my game,at the time best suits my needs.And have made some great friends in the proccess.

I play on chess.com rather than OTB because I can find more opponents and try out more varied time controls, and I can play at the time when it is convenient for me. Sometimes though I find it tiresome because I feel that many people play for the points and don't try to play interesting chess. In comparison to some other net sites, it has two advantages 1. it's free and 2. it has more social life than most though this has paled somewhat lately since we can't use private and group chat.

no place to play OTB chess around my area. plus the community here is outstanding.  i love the ONline chess, and now that the live works better its great too.  the tactics trainer, chess mentor, forums, blogs, articles and opening explorer all make this site awesome.

I really don't have a lot of time to sit down and play a game in one sittng with someone. So it's nice to pop on when I have a few minutes during the day, look at the board and make my move.

Or just "chess".
