Why does everybody resign

People resign for many reasons including

Losing pieces
About to be checkmated
Other
But something weird I have noticed is people resign looking at someone's rating because it's higher

Time is crucial

Lower-rated players often question their abilities and may feel they won’t spot opportunities to equalize against a higher-rated opponent.

Many people aren't interested in playing chess.

They just want a win, that will pamper their ego.

So if they get matched against someone that they will likely lose to, they just quit.

That spares their ego from the sting of actually being beaten.

you dont have to be a GM to realise that once you lose a piece, or even a pawn, you're lost, even at low rated games, players are super precise and quick to punish even slight positional mistakes, there is no point in playing if you see that you are simply lost, all the influencers who say play on and wait for opponent to blunder or make a stalemate are just talking crap, cause very rarely this happens, even at low rated players, you can analyze the game after, and see that even with perfect moves you are still lost, and there is little chance that your opponent is going to blunder back, save time and move on to the next game, it is not like your rating is anywhere relevant at 800 or someting

Problem is at 800 elo your opponent will most likely blunder so why resign

I used to resign ALOT but now I try to get a stalemate or get a tiny checkmate. The only exception I resign now is if I have to get off right away
