Why doesnt Chess.com allow more then 10 friendrequest

For me this is a problem that chess.com does not allow more than 10 pending friend requests.
I mean there should have been 50 or 100 pending requests available.
I have always had it as a gesture that I send a friend request to those who join my clubs, to show that I care, many more than 10 people join daily and then I get left behind and this has been going on for a long time and I have a big lag, as I prefer to send everyone who joins my clubs a friend request, can you do something about this problem of mine?
I now have 10108 friends but there are 19500 members in my clubs, I wish I could send a friend request to everyone as they join/the same day they join.
The record in one day was 250 new members together in my clubs and then this limit of 10 friend requests becomes a long-term problem that I don't like. Is it then not a big problem for chess.com and open up to far more requests?

Regards

Usually if someone doesn't accept my friend request in a day or two, I'll just cancel the pending request to free up space for others. I may have exceptions if I realize they haven't been online since then, but I find the number of friend requests available usually more than enough.

Maybe you should give a friendly message or something to the other people first or get to know them better somehow. I say this because if you have so many pending requests unanswered, then maybe people aren't eager for the "advertising" requests. Most of my requests are answered within the same day.

I myself use to send a friend request to all club owners of clubs I join, it's common courtesy, but not everyone practices the same, so then I take that step, but 10 pending requests available is far too little for me
For me, this is an eternal dilemma, as I have many people who join my clubs, a few days each week I fall far behind, and it is difficult to catch up

I DON'T KNOW, BUT THEY DO.

If you are constantly sitting with pending friend requests maxed, then you are sending too many friend requests unsolicited.  Try actually asking people first.  If that is too time consuming, then actually interacting with that number of friends will ergo also be too time consuming...

Maybe they do it to prevent friend request spamming via scripts.

Not just scripts.  It also mitigates various behaviors like trying to friend every female on the site (*cough* chesscake *cough*), friend every titled player, etc.

That doesn't make sense.

The curt answer is chess.com has this limit because of people like you, who would spam friend requests to lots of strangers... I'm not saying that to be mean, that's just how it is.

I agree it's a stupid thing having a limit, but I guess they don't care cuz they never changed it so...

If you have more or 10 requests, clearly they're ignoring you, and you should withdraw it.

It's good that there's a limit, to stop this and spammers.

I DO NOT HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT.

tbh this seems like a genuinely fine reason to want more friend requests, but it’s like the only one, I feel like anyone else who wants to send out more than 10 invitations at once is just spamming, and the rule is there to prevent that

annoying. i want to cancel some of my friend requests but i kind of forgot who i friend-requested so..., how many days do you have to wait until it counts as "cancelling a friend request"? 90? 40? 1 week? or infinite?

You can’t even cancel friend requests on the mobile app…

What's the point?

Are you really going to be challenging 10,108 people to daily chess matches and tournaments?

If you need to communicate with these people, communicate with them in your group. Clean up your friend list and make your life simpler.

*you're welcome*
