Why doesn't Stockfish play in the World Computer Chess Championship?

I don't keep up with computer chess titles other than hearing that Stockfish is the strongest engine in the world.  I caught an article that talks about Fritz defending the 2023 world title.  I see no mention of Stockfish.  I've Googled it but it seems Stockfish isn't even mentioned.

The events have specific rules and entry requirements. Maybe the Stockfish team either doesn't meet the requirements or decided not to compete.
