Why i shut off so often immediately ?

A lotta people here could be feelin a little nasty bout me, cause i shut off immediately so often in- or direct after a game. I feel the need to explain this.

Strange it is, in my case, i live with a lotta people in my house. Except one, they all hate chess, surely when ya playin it on a pc. Remarks are: "Oh my God, get a life, get to work, don't spill ya time with it... and worse !"

Despite this, i have the drive to play chess (yes, i like it).  Problems are, when i try to play, regurlarly someone enters the room and i have to shut down immediately than.
That's the only reason i shut down, i'm off directle so often (a matter i don't like myself, but what can i do ?).

So, it has nothing to do that i win- or loose games, that i go down in ratings, that i get frustrated of that. I know, when ya playin' chess, you got to bare losses (a lot).  Can't you come clean with that fact ? Ya shouldn't play at all.

Well, i thought i had to state this to ya all, so you know, that when i shut off, someones entering my room, and that's what happening, and nothing more.

I would never hold that against you. It's your business how you manage your life and even if you choose to disable chat or exit the game board immediately, that is your choice. It would be unfair for me to judge you harshly for that. It is very generous of you to offer an explanation, though none is truly required.

Have fun ... and I hope you don't get too much abuse for doing so, in the form of playing chess.

Thanx DrawMaster. I mainly play the Bulletgames (1 - 2 minutes). Playing the "normal" games (14 days a move) than this problem doesn't occur.

Your private life is your business, but I'd tell the others in your house to mind their own business, and if they don't like chess then don't play, but since you like it you'll play when you want to.
