Exactly. Chess players talk all the time about how they want to "sac" the queen. Talk about rape culture.
What I saw in the game you posted was that the white king had his wife murder the black king's wife, then the black king murdered the white king's wife in retaliation. The black king is a murderer, but he had a good reason. The white king apparently uses mind control to induce others to murder for him the way Charles Manson did. Anyway, what transpired if we imagine it happening in the real world is just terrible, absolutely senseless, and a real tragedy. And I almost forgot about the preceding ritual slaughter of those two pawns. Nobody ever thinks of the pawns.
