Why in god's name is this the best move?

For the life of me, I do not understand why 6...Bc5 is the best move for black from this opening position. I have used both an opening explorer and a chess engine to analyze this position, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why Bc5 is the best move. HELP.

Also, side question:
Why do i keep on encountering the Sicilian defense: Smith-Morra gambit and the Sicilian defense: Bowdler Attack? Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

using opening explorer is fine but not on live chess.

Because of the many inaccuracies in this opening, I'm surprised you were able to find that position in a database... certainly it's not a database of games with only master or above... best to totally ignore whatever it suggests.

And in any case, my engine doesn't prefer 6...Bc5 so...

Silly question but how do you report?

To the OP.  You are not allowed to dicuss an ongoing game, and you are not allowed to use an engine.
