Why is chess a sport?

Yeh it should classify with video games because there like both games and share strategy and non physical aspects accept moving the pieces and taking a sip of your water.

Chess is a sport because it is a fight between two players. Chess can also be considered just a game, or even a video game. Something is what it is because people think it is what it is.
