Nah, more like "a set of five parallel lines and the spaces between them, on which notes are written to indicate their pitch."

gotta love how thats copy and pasted

I'm too busy, I mean lazy, to retype the entire definition.

stalemate isn't a hack, although I do agree with you guys that the rule is stupid. Why do I draw when I have 2 queens and my opponent has only his king?

Stalemate cheaters are EVERYWHERE

this is unacceptable

chess.com needs to fix this glitch and hack

I have reported all stalemate hackers I see and they will soon be banned, this is ridiculous i have been cheated out of half a point so many times by this stupid glitch.

Here is a recent example

i got this position in a 90 30 tournament game and the other guy says "it's a draw"

how ridiculous! even over the board people are hacking using the "stalemate" glitch

I tried arguing with him but the arbiter came over and said to be quieter! The government is trying to supress us!

Anti-stalematers and anti-ansoponters must rise up!

It is a draw because the person cannot move anywhere. It has been around since the 13th century. IT IS NOT A HACK!

1e41-O

definitely a hack

ZinkBot

Why?

1e41-O

just like posonont is a hack

1e41-O

the moment i'm about to win, these hackers change the result to a draw!

Stalemate? Isn't that like a type of moldy bread or something?

It's a complete HACK. I HATE STALEMATE. IT IS CHEATING AND DISHONEST

redghost101
Is this a troll? Cos that position up there could not be achieved in a tournament. Stalemate is a stale checkmate. Your opponent can’t move there king but there not in check.
Steven-ODonoghue

NO TROLL. THE ONLY PEOPLE TROLING ARE THE PEOPLE WHO SRE USING STALEMATE IT IS HACKKMM

jr212

Doesn't nobody see the example is not possible

28 queens????

I also doesn't like stalemate however it is part of the official rules. so chess.com can't change that!

I also like to make fun of players that don't quit when completely lost! but you can't force them. fide is looking for a way to add this (rumour) to the rules. first time in a tournament: notification; 2° time lost game: 3 ° time abandonment tournament(s)

It's never the stalemate that is stupid. It's the player who let it happen for no good reason. He should be happy to escape with a draw. In life you lose after being stupid.
