Does it take you out of your normal game?
Why so eager to trade down?

In positions like this you must not fall into the trap of trading down for trading down sake. Be in control of trades for position sake and you will come out the victor. Control the endgame position.

you may well be correct about weak minds, however as pieces are traded more opportunities open up to be exploited, and in this way the impasse is broken.

may be you can,t handle handle easy games because of your simple brain.chess has thousands of possiblities' learn how to handle each one .

take advantage. the person who starts the trade often does so not at the most opportune moment, and this can be turned against them. that person is often me!

my point is that it seems to happen far too much, atleast in my games. and when i do try to avoid it, im giving up my position. i dont find simple games difficult i just find them boring..

Could be the opponents are low rated, and haven't learned the concept of tension yet. Anyone over 1400 should be less inclined to trade down for the sake of trading down unless it causes breaks in the pawn chain. This applies to long chess games, not blitz.

Ever thought maybe your opponent felt more comfortable in the end games?
Josh Waitzkin's says that he always loved to trade down pieces to get to one.
Also, he says that the end game is the true essence of chess. So your theory of a "complex position" is wrong as the end game is much harder.

then you have a lot of work to do in your chess.
I have no desire to play blitz competively except with in my own chess club. I use it as a test to see if certain patterns have become ingrained in my memory. The main tactics that i use are moves that keep the opponent off balance to make them take precious time to think till they lose on time.

yes i am quite familiar with josh waitzkin. and to word my last comment better, i dont find the end game 'boring', but just hate when players are so eager to rush to it.. and josh said he used to rush towards the endgame because he was comfortable there (when he was a child) so that reinforces my point of opponents not being able to handle the complexity or tension and resorting to trading down. and yes the end game may be 'real chess' but it should be reached naturally not as a crutch...

Havent played as many games their as i have here on this site. 30 games all year long so far. Bout 800 games here. Very few time out wins. A little rusty when I came back to chess a year ago and decided to join the USCF. My rating here is about 1700. My last three tournies records were 10W-3L-1D. Two of which I got 1st place, and one that i got 3rd.
i didnt know you could play anything but "real chess" here. are we allowed to make up our own rules now? someone tell me how.

Maybe their simple minds are busy spelling things correctly and not typing like a stoned 5th grader. Capitalization, punctuation, spelling...all your friends.
If they are trading down to Queen and Rook endgames it is not exactly "simple". In fact it is far more complex than middlegames as the lack of defenders opens up several possibilities for the major pieces and you have to analyse every single one. Maybe they are trading down because they realise that your "Weak mind" cannot deal with complex endgames thereby giving them easy victory.
I cant believe it happens in all of your games. Do you tend to try to gain space in your games? Trading pieces is a standard way of playing when you have less space than your opponent.
Also maybe they trade your good bishop for their bad one or trade their bishops for your knights when there are many pawns on the board.
I can't stand games where the opponent will automatically trade pieces until were left with only queen and rooks... and im talking about when there is no clear advantage but just trading to simplify the game because idk there weak minds cant handle a complex position.. sorry but am i the only that is bothered by this.
