Why so slow?

Why does it seam that whenever someone is about to loose their game that they play slower? Do they think their opponet will get frustrated and resign? Or maybe they hope their opponet won't notice it's their turn and time out?

Is it that hard for players to take a loss that they turn from worthy opponets that played a great game, into children that pout and cry in hopes you will let them win?

Some of us play too many games, and play the first part fast, and have to concentrate to play a good endgame.  Many games are drawn by a good endgame, which is more difficult than a fast opening that is done from memory, or the explorer.

if they are taking time but making moves that is perfectly all right and well within their right. What throughly annoys me is when some people, after realizing they are loosing simply refuse to resign and refuse to make a move, hoping that you will get iritated and disconect before their time runs out. That is disgraceful.

not making a move intentionaly is against chess.com's fair play policy:

And something has to be said about sportsmanship.

Though in the end, chessmicky is right. Block , chalk it up as one of the nuisances of internet chess and move on.
