Why V3 should not delete photos!

Older members have done much service with all their efforts of posting images.

I learned how to post games from member CaptainPike's blog - look at the step by step images he put up:

I learned how to post videos from member corrijean's blog with images:

Thank you PAT for bring to our attention the would-be grave errors of V3.

For those  blogs, are merely the ones, I came across that proved to be helpful...what about others?

What about a choice - so either v2 or v3, whatever people prefer?

SocialPanda

Because it´s not about that, is just about keeping the storage of the pictures. Is not about platforms.

Maybe there is still hope Erik won't delete those images...there's a lot of history and usefullness in those blogs and forums

Pic and images are worth a thousand words.

I agree Pat.

Which method of communication is more effective...

           this...

or a thousand words trying to describe it?

Some would argue that it's a chess site...what do you expect?

So yeah...go ahead and get rid of the pics.

I would counter with...

this site has become very popular for many reasons...

and the ability to communicate with pics

                      is definitely one of them!!

And yeah...we know about the "linking" of future pics.

Again...it's the pics already posted throughout the years

                                                 that are in danger!

                                                   SAVE OUR PICS!!

Whoop.  You won me over.  Designing a banner now.

Beautiful sun-setting-beach-side shot with colourful sky & lonely rocks though. Seriously good. Laughing We would miss the pictures, people.

Thanks so much marcosite!!!

WE ARE PAT...WE ARE PAT...WE ARE PAT!!

We don't want to lose our pics...they are priceless to us!!

And chess.com must realize...

if they take away the old pics...

they will be losing some of the best kind of customers...

the loyal ones who have been here for years!

Imagine what would happen if Facebook started deleting their users' pictures.

To many people, chess.com is a social networking site. Maybe it wasn't the owner's intention to have chess.com become a social networking site, but here we are.

I say, use this fact to your advantage. Deleting the old content (pictures) would not be a sensible move.

'tis true.  Lots of 'members' don't seem to stay long & there is a 'hardcore' of users that keep the whole thing afloat.

To clarify, some people like the forums as much as the chess.
