i played someone and beat him and he won't accept my rematch

what does that mean?

also i don't understand why players disconnect after they beat me and won't give me a rematch.

It means he doesn't want to play with you again, plain and simple.  He could want to improve before facing you again, he might want time to go over your first game, he might be the type who prefers a random opponent each time, he might have to go do something in real life, and yes, he might even be afraid of losing to you again like you want us to say.

More or less the same can be said for the people who beat you and won't give a rematch.  There's a variety of reasons, some quite legitimate, so you have to learn to just move on.

You are strange people. Did it ever occur to you that some people only want one game?

why 1 game

when they can have 7 with me

Maybe a person started a 10 minute chess game 21 minutes before a movie starts on tv and thus have no time to a rematch.

just one reason out of a million.

Chess is hardly a sport

No idea what that means  [edit:  no idea what this guy is talking about]

Perhaps you need to know/understand your opponent has a "choice"  to invite, accept or decline playing with you again.  Is not the end of the world if people decline your rematch....dont waste and move on.

Then why are you expected to play with good sportsmanship?

This is just for those who missed that he said he was going to get over it and move on.

why won't he accept a rematch

Because he hates you

Its a new rule.  Anyone who starts 35 threads doesn't qualify for re-matches.

Assuming your opponent is male?

Don't people ever get tired of talking to themselves with their own sockpuppets?  Is there a bigger waste of time in the known universe?

Avatar of rowsweep

what did i do wrong to make him hate me ?

Avatar of Cla_21

That mean then the opponent don't want to loose more points and he / she is scared because you win of him / her

I know that because I make that all the time ..... lolololol

I d decline a rematch only when i m about to log off. cuz  i got a fixed time to play and if i played overtime my mom would kill me.

But there are ppl. on chess.com who do not decline rematches under most circumstances.I played 22 games with one of my friends(not in a row anyway).

Because some people have a life.... they only have time for one game or wish to play someone else. Why is this an issue? Ask for a rematch and if they decline go on to the next opponent.
